Q: I have a tight deadline to meet. Can you start on my copywriting project right away?
A: The answer is… it depends. My work calendar gets booked in advance. If I finish another project ahead of time, and your timing’s perfect, I’d be happy to help. If it’s a rush job, it will attract an urgency fee.
Q: What kind of turnaround time can I expect?
A: A short project, such as a blog post or an article, takes two days. A longer project, such as a landing page or a sales letter, takes up to two weeks.
Q: What if I want to make revisions?
A: You can request two rounds of revisions to your copy at no extra charge. I want you satisfied. I do ask that you request the revisions within 30 days of receiving the first draft of the copy. If you change the scope of the assignment after I submit the copy, then we can negotiate an acceptable fee. I do my best to turn around revisions fast. Minor revisions take 2-3 business days, while major revisions can take longer.
Q: What kind of results can I expect?
A: No copywriter or marketer can guarantee specific results. Many factors outside my control — product, market, list, demand, buyer preferences, major events — affect your marketing results. What I do guarantee is your satisfaction with my copy before you test it. I want your promotions to succeed and feel responsible for making sure you get the best result.
Q: Do you ask for money up front?
A: Yes, I do. Professional copywriters ask for a 50% deposit to book your project in their calendar before they start work. I stick to this industry standard.
Q: I’m in the US (or any other country) and you’re in Australia, can we still work together?
A: Yes! I currently have clients in the US and Australia. If you need persuasive copy written in clear English, then I can help you do it. No matter where in the world you’re located, today’s technology makes it easy for us to work together.
Q: Can you do the design, too?
A: This is outside my skill-set: a four-year-old in kindergarten has better design skills than me. But if you want someone a done-for-you service — the copy and the design — I offer a complete project management service.
